Avon Police Department’s hiring process is underway, and we are still accepting online applications for the police officer position. The online process is easy and quick, and this will get you registered to take the written exam and physical agility test on March 16th at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. For those applicants who are already certified through ILEA, we have a modified testing process for you that is streamlined and focused on your current status as a law enforcement officer. Last Week Officer Mike Wittl marked off duty for the last time after more than 20 years of service with the Avon Police Department and to the Town of Avon. His institutional knowledge and veteran leadership will be deeply missed, and we wish him and his family the best in their next chapter.
