National Night Out
In 2015, the Avon Police Department began participating in the National Night Out Against Crime community event. This event takes place on the first Tuesday in August of every year and is a completely free family event. In only our third year participating in the event, our staff facilitated the gathering for over 4,200 people in 2019! This event is organized in the effort to establish and enhance our community relations with the community that we serve.

Do your kiddos love big machines? Join us for Dirt Works Saturday, August 12th, from 9-11am at Avon Town Hall Park to get up close and personal with all types of heavy equipment! Brought to you by All Terrain Landscaping, Sheads Excavating, and the Town of Avon Parks Department! Learn how an excavator works, see the big mowers the park uses to keep the grass beautiful, meet the bull dozer and snow blower. Bring your monster truck toys and watch a demonstration while you are there! Free snacks and gifts for the first 50 people!
